In 1982, Martin O'Hara started supplying coal in the North Leitrim and Sligo area from his red Transit van.
The business quickly grew from strength to strength, and he built up a strong relationship with a loyal customer base.
He prided himself on selling quality products at a reasonable price, but most importantly a reliable and obliging service – hail, rain or snow, Martin would make sure his customers weren’t left without fuel. After many years of learning the ropes with Martin, his son Seán took over the day to day running of the business.
Sadly, on May 24th 2022 Martin passed away 10 months after being diagnosed with cancer.
Today, we are proud to carry on that tradition of excellent service and quality as we continue to supply smokeless coal, butane and propane gas, Lignite nuggets, kindling and briquettes to the Sligo Leitrim area. We hope that Martin would be delighted to see the business progress even further, moving in to home heating oil and marked gas oil.
We aim to ensure our customers, old and new, are as well looked after as Martin’s always were.
